APRIL 2012: TWO MAJOR BANKS SUPPORT THE GRANGE WIND FARM

RES is delighted to announce that it has signed a deal with two European banks to fund construction of The Grange Wind Farm in the South Holland District of Lincolnshire.  The investment by Lloyds Bank Wholesale and KfW IPEX-Bank in a joint initiative represents the latest in a number of 'green' investments made by the two-bank partnership. This support comes as RES begins preliminary access works at The Grange, ahead of constructing the 7 turbine, 14MW wind farm.

Helen Hall, Development Project Manager at RES stated:
"This deal underlines the appetite that exists for long term investment in wind power, as well as RES's reputation for delivering and operating high quality wind farms.  We are looking forward to starting work in earnest to deliver the wind farm as soon as possible."

Rob Kemeys, Construction Project Manager asserted:
"With financing now firmly in place, construction of this exciting project in the Fens can begin. As the construction phase progresses, we will continue to build on established relationships and keep the local community abreast of progress each step of the way, such is RES's commitment over the lifetime of the project."

Gordon MacDougall, RES UK & Ireland Chief Operating Officer, commented:
"We are committed to delivering renewable energy projects like The Grange throughout the UK, not only to ensure that the country has a secure and sustainable energy supply in the future, but also so that communities can benefit from the environmental and economic benefits that they bring."
