CONSTRUCTION ON SITE STARTS IN MAY
On-site works to construct The Grange Wind Farm are due to begin w/c 7 May 2012 and will take up to 18 months to complete.
Once operational, the 7 turbine wind farm will generate up to 14MW (megawatts) of renewable electricity, triggering a benefit fund of £28,000 per year for local people to invest in local projects.

April 2012: TWO MAJOR BANKS SUPPORT THE GRANGE WIND FARM
RES is delighted to announce that it has signed a deal with two European banks to fund construction of The Grange Wind Farm in the South Holland District of Lincolnshire. The investment by Lloyds Bank Wholesale and KfW IPEX-Bank in a joint initiative represents the latest in a number of 'green' investments made by the two-bank partnership. This support comes as RES begins preliminary access works at The Grange, ahead of constructing the 7 turbine, 14MW wind farm.
Helen Hall, Development Project Manager at RES stated:
"This deal underlines the appetite that exists for long term
investment in wind power, as well as RES's reputation for
delivering and operating high quality wind farms. We are
looking forward to starting work in earnest to deliver the wind
farm as soon as possible."
Rob Kemeys, Construction Project Manager asserted:
"With financing now firmly in place, construction of this
exciting project in the Fens can begin. As the construction phase
progresses, we will continue to build on established relationships
and keep the local community abreast of progress each step of the
way, such is RES's commitment over the lifetime of the
project."
Gordon MacDougall, RES UK & Ireland Chief Operating Officer,
commented:
"We are committed to delivering renewable energy projects like
The Grange throughout the UK, not only to ensure that the country
has a secure and sustainable energy supply in the future, but also
so that communities can benefit from the environmental and economic
benefits that they bring."

15th October 2010 - RES PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE PLANNING CONSENT FOR GRANGE WIND FARM
RES has today welcomed a Planning Inspector's decision to give
planning consent to a seven-turbine wind farm on land at Grange
Farm, between Sutton Bridge and Tydd St. Mary, in the South Holland
District of Lincolnshire.
The go-ahead for the seven turbines overturns a previous decision
by South Holland District Council, which refused planning consent
for the wind farm in March 2010.
Each turbine will be up to 127m high, and the cluster of seven
turbines will generate enough clean, green electricity each year to
power the equivalent of up to 8,000 homes, or 24% of the homes in
the South Holland District.

June 6th 2009
RES sponsored this year's Presentation Night for Walpole Youth
Football Club, celebrating another successful season of community
football for children in the Walpoles and Sutton Bridge area.
The awards night, held on Saturday June 6th at Walton Highway,
attracted a crowd of nearly 300 as children and their families got
together for both the serious presentations, and some serious fun
too!
This past season, the club ran teams from under 7's up to under
15's, competing in leagues in Norfolk and Cambridgeshire.
Every player received a RES Merit Award, with special awards at
each age group for players of the year and top scorers.
The club are always on the look out for new players. This
coming season, they are particularly keen to attract new talent in
next school years 4, 5 and 8. Every Wednesday evening
throughout the summer, football training sessions are held between
6 and 7 on the Community Centre field in Walpole St Andrew.

May 31st 2009
RES took 31 residents from local villages and towns, together with 30 scouts from the 1st Long Sutton Scout group, to see North Pickenham wind farm and the Swaffham Ecotech Centre.
We were blessed with a beautifully hot and sunny day, and for those who managed to make it up the 305 steps of the Swaffham turbine, amazing views right across to Ely Cathedral were the reward. We also visited North Pickenham wind farm, a new wind farm which has the same turbines as those we are proposing for the Grange.
Comments from the day included:
"A wonderful and informative day. All my doubts about a wind farm
in the area have now gone."
"It was very enlightening and marvellous, an extraordinary sight
from the top."
"A fascinating and informative day. The views were worth the
climb!"
